| Programs and Patches |
| These latest patches correct several errors and include a
number of new things in them. Please choose one of the following patches depending on
which OS you have got on your computer. |
|
Copy the patch to hard disc and run.
Choose the directory Chess Assistant 9, where you would like to upgrade and then select the language.
On the finishing of patch's work and receiveng the message about succeful patch finish, run CA9.
|
|
1) Download patch906.exe to your hard disk to the ca9 catalog and run it.
2) Select your language in the installation window.
3) Run Ca9 after using patch 906. Enter the serial number for CA9 and select activation by Internet or email.
a) activation by Internet - you can immediately use ca9 after activation.
b) activation by email - you need to receive the e-mail from us containing the file ca9.dat, which you should copy to the CA9 catalog.
4)If in the patch you select a different language (not the one you have in your CA 9) then you must delete old configuration files.

| Patch for Rybka 2.1 & Chess Openings 2006 (on CD) |
1) Download the patch to the hard drive and run it
2) Select the language and click OK
3) When the patch is finished start Rybka 2.1 & Chess Openings 2006. Enter the serial number and click Next
4) Select the activation method (through Internet or by e-mail)
5) If you activate the program through the Internet you should immediately receive the message that your activation is successful and you can start Rybka 2.1 & Chess Openings 2006.
If you activate your program by e-mail you should wait for the е-mail with the file *.dat
You should copy this file to the program folder and start the program.

Download patch903.exe to CA9 folder.
Insert the original CA 9 disc into the CR-ROM.
Run the patch.
Enter the CD-ROM drive letter, select the language and enter CA 9 serial number
(if you wish you can delete or keep the current settings of CA 9).
Click the button Update.
If the installation is completed successfully the program will open the window with the note Success.
Start CA 9.

subdirectory and run. Then follow the program instructions. |

This patch updates your Chess Assistant 8.0 up to German version 8.1.
The patch needs to be copied into your Chess Assistant 8 subdirectory
(usually c:\Program Files\Chess Assistant 8\), and then executed.
You must have your original program CD and serial number. |

Download the patch to the program folder. Before starting the patch insert the original CD (the patch will check the protection).

This patch updates your Chess Assistant 8.0 up to German version 8.1. |
|
|
This patch updates your Chess Assistant 8.0 up to version 8.1. It also
lets you play both at the Internet CA Club and on the ICC.
The available languages are English, Spanish, French and Italian.The patch needs to be
copied into your Chess Assistant 8 subdirectory (usually c:\Program Files\Chess Assistant
8\), and then executed. You must have your original program CD and serial number.
After unpacking several files the patch will ask you to indicate your CD-ROM character,
language and serial number.
You are also going to see the window as follows: Delete or Not the .ini files?
This is up to you to decide. If you put the flag yes in the delete checkbox, the program
will delete all of your own settings and save those set by default.
When the patch is completely unpacked, please put your CA8.0 CD (the first CD with the
program files on it) into the CD-ROM for the program is going to consult the disc to check
its serial number.
Please make sure that your CD-ROM has actually read the CD, whereupon press the Update
button.
When the message SUCCESS is on the screen this means installation is over so you may run
CA 8.0.
Please note that the patch doesn't include any Help or Internet CA Club updates which you
can see zip-formatted below and either download them or not, of your choice. |
Internet CA Club updates
|
To replace the Internet Chess Assistant Club files, please download and unzip the whole
Internet CA Club directory. As soon as you have, please open either the ENG or ESP
subdirectory and overwrite the contained files in your CA8/Internet Club folder:

Please see desriptions below:
1). Copy setup-eng.exe from the English directory of your CD Theory
and Practice of Chess Endings to the hard disk.
2). Put out the Theory and Practice of Chess Endings CD of your CD-ROM.
3). Run setup-eng.exe from the hard disk and install it.
4). Transfer the "TPCE_Patch.exe" from attachment into the Theory
and Practice of Chess Endings directory.
5). Insert the Theory and Practice of Chess Endings CD and run the
TPCE_Patch.exe (do not forget to press the Update button).
6). As soon as everything is buzzed, wait a while and restart the computer.
7). Run Theory and Practice of Chess Endings program again.
